Thierry Meynard S. J. is a Professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Philosophy, Sun Yat-sen University. He also serves as thevice-director of the Archive for Introduction of Western Knowledge, the executive director of theCenter for Guangzhou and Cultural Exchange, member ofInternationalConfucian Association, director ofThe Beijing Center for Chinese Studies, member of Macau Ricci Institute, and the advisor of the Monumenta Serica Institute.His main interest is the intellectual exchange between China and the West. He has authored monographs including FromEncounter to Comprehension: Confucius and Aristotle in the Ming and Qing Dynasties(2019),The Jesuit Reading of Confucius(2015), and editedTheConfuciusSinarum Philosophus(4 Volumes, 2021).
